Camp Policies 

Adventure Camp Location
  • Camp will be held at the temporary Recreation Center/Portable classrooms. 

  • The address is  1010 Burlingame Ave., Burlingame, CA  94010

Emergency Forms
  • All participants must have an emergency form on file before participating in camp. 

  • These forms will be kept confidential.

Sign-In/Out
  • Campers must be signed in and out each day.  

  • Camp doors open at 7:30am.

  • Campers should be picked up no later than 6:00pm.

  • A late fee of $5 for every 5 minutes will be charged for early drop off/late pick up.

Identification
  • Be prepared to show a photo ID when picking up your camper if we are not familiar with you. 

  • Make sure approved people are named on the release form and have their IDs.

Absence Policy
  • If your camper is going to be absent or late to camp, please let a staff know or call the office (558-7300).

Medication Form
  • If your camper requires medication while at camp, please fill out the Medication Form.

  • Please include any allergies.

Lunch
  • Your camper will need to bring a lunch each day. 

  • Please pack a balanced lunch, along with snacks and water. 

  • The lunch cannot be refrigerated or re-heated. 

Snack
  • Playing at camp uses up a lot of energy.  A snack break is provided each day, in the morning & afternoon. 

  • Please supply your camper with enough healthy snacks and water to last throughout the day. 

Personal Items
  • Please leave toys, jewelry and any electronics at home. 

  • The department is not responsible for any lost/stolen/broken items.

Illness
  • If your camper is experiencing any medical issues (cold, flu, fever, pink eye, head lice), please do not bring them to camp. 

  • There will need to be clearance from the department prior to returning. 

Clothing
  • Please make sure your camper is dressed comfortably and safely.  Closed-toe shoes are required. 

  • It is recommended to pack a hat, sweatshirt, water and sunscreen in a backpack for the day.  

Discipline Policy
  • Camp Staff model and teach appropriate behaviors and encourage campers to express their feelings in a “socially acceptable” manner. 

  • Discipline shall be through positive guidance, redirection and clear limits that assist the child’s ability to be self-disciplined. 

  • There is a zero tolerance for violence and physical and/or verbal outbursts.  Guardians will be notified of behavioral concerns. 

  • If a camper is not capable of controlling his/her emotions and becomes aggressive in any way, they will be  removed from camp and no refund will be available.

Emergency Plan
  • Should a city/state/national emergency occur while your camper is at the Rec Center / Portables, the evacuation location is at the Washington Park baseball fields.
