Please familiarize yourself with the below guidelines for your camper(s).
Adventure Camp Locations
Camps will be held in Lounge 1 (DD) & 2 (YE) and the Washington Lounge (EA) at the Recreation Center.
All participants must have an emergency form on file before participating in camp. These forms will be kept confidential.
Check in/Check out
Campers must be signed in and out each day. Permission slips must be submitted for campers who bike/walk to/from camp.
Be prepared to show a photo ID when picking up your camper if we are not familiar with you. Make sure approved people are named on the release form and have their IDs.
If your camper is going to be absent or late to camp, please let a staff know or call the office (558-7300).
If your camper requires medication while at camp, please fill out the Medication Form.
Camp Staff will have the forms.
Please include any allergies.
Your camper will need to bring a lunch each day. Please pack a balanced lunch, along with snacks and water. The lunch should not need to be refrigerated.
Playing at camp uses up a lot of energy. A snack break is provided each day. Please supply your camper with enough healthy snacks and water to last throughout the day.
Please leave toys, jewelry and any electronics at home. The department is not responsible for any lost/stolen/broken items.
If your camper is experiencing any medical issues (cold, flu, fever, pink eye, head lice), please do not bring them to camp. There will need to be clearance from the department prior to returning.
Please make sure your camper is dressed comfortably and safely. Closed-toe shoes are required. It is recommended to pack a hat, sweatshirt, water and sunscreen in a backpack for the day.
Camp Staff model and teach appropriate behaviors and encourage campers to express their feelings in a “socially acceptable” manner. Discipline shall be through positive guidance, redirection and clear limits that assist the child’s ability to be self-disciplined. There is a zero tolerance for violence and physical and/or verbal outbursts. Guardians will be notified of behavioral concerns. If a camper is not capable of controlling his/her emotions and becomes aggressive in any way, they will be removed from camp and no refund will be available.
Drop Off/Pick Up
Camp doors open at 7:30am.
Campers should be picked up no later than 6:00pm.
A late fee of $5 for every 5 minutes will be charged for early drop off/late pick up.
Should a city/state/national emergency occur while your camper is at the Rec Center, the evacuation location is at the Washington Park baseball fields.
